Physical education at National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” is an integral part of the system of education and professional training of a specialist, an important component of humanitarian education, formation of a sense of patriotism, physical and moral health, improvement of physical and psychological preparation for an active life and professional activity.

The purpose of the department's activity is the scientific research, development and improvement of educational and methodological approaches to the formation of a culture of health and the level of physical fitness of students of higher education, through the introduction of technologies for leading a healthy lifestyle, management of human body conditions, improvement of methods for physical and psychological training of young people to an active life and professional activity.

Participation in the international tournament of the team of NTUU "KPI"

The National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" was invited to the International Beach Volleyball Tournament in Poznan (Poland) on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the Adam Mickiewicz University from 7 to 10 May 2024.

The condition for participation in the tournament was the presence of a university employee on the site.

table tennis competitions were held among the students of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute"

On 12 March 2024, table tennis competitions were held among the students of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute".
The competition was attended by 26 students of the university
The competition was held at a high professional level.
1st place - Andrii Kunda, FIOT, gr. IA - 31.
2nd place - Yegor Chechet, FL, gr. LA - 12
3rd place - Kseniia Gorai, FIOT, gr. IM - 21.

On 14 March 2024, table tennis competitions were held among the teachers of NTUU "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute".
The competitions were held in a tense struggle and the places were distributed as follows:
1st place - Pavlo Bohdan, FSP
2nd place - Volodymyr Kyslyak, FBMI
3rd place - Serhii Rupich, PBF

Veterans do not age at heart! Kashin I.A. is 100 years old!

On 20 January 2024 (Saturday), the Kyiv House of Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (45 Volodymyrska St., Kyiv) honoured the 100th anniversary of the climber Ivan Andriyovych Kashin and presented him with a certificate from the National Register of Records of Ukraine in the nomination "The Oldest Climber of Ukraine" On 18 January, the outstanding athlete, teacher, legend of Ukrainian mountaineering Ivan Andriyovych Kashin turned 100 years old.

Ivan Kashin was a Master of Sports in mountaineering, Candidate of Sports in Acrobatics, and a gymnast. Champion and prize-winner of the USSR and Ukrainian SSR mountaineering championships.

He was born on 18 January 1924 in Kyiv. He graduated from the Kyiv Institute of Physical Culture, an acrobat, gymnast and climber. He worked at Vinnytsia (1951-1952) and Kyiv (1953-1957) medical institutes at the Department of Physical Education. Since 1958, he has been a coach at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, and since 2009, he has been an instructor.

This is a man who can undoubtedly be called "Unbreakable". Despite the complexity of his life, Ivan Kashin always has a smile on his lips and never misses a day without exercise.

Ivan Kashin is one of the oldest climbers in our country.

International summer school "Physical Culture and Sport in the higher education system"

On 24-30 September 2023, the International Summer School "Physical Culture and Sport in the Higher Education System" was held in Poznan (Poland) as part of the project "UNIWERSYTET JUTRA II - POWR.03.05.00-00-Z303/18".
These days, Adam Mickiewicz University hospitably invited representatives of 26 Ukrainian higher education institutions (teachers of physical education and sports departments, heads of sports clubs) to participate in the project.
The week's programme included various activities related to the organisation of university sports activities, lectures on the system of organising physical education and sports at the Adam Mickiewicz University and in Poland in general. Other issues related to the structure of sports work were also discussed. It was also interesting to visit the university's sports centre and take part in swimming, table tennis and fitness training. A meeting was held with the rector and other university leaders, who spoke about the management of the sports department at Adam Mickiewicz University.

The first day began with the exchange of gifts and joint photos in memory of this wonderful event, organised for Ukrainian specialists in the field of physical education and sports by colleagues from the Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan, Poland)
The Department of Health Improvement and Sports Technologies of the FBMI is represented by senior lecturers O.M. Chychenyova and A.Y. Chekhovska.

XVIII Scientific and Methodological Conference "PHYSICAL EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF MODERN EDUCATION"

 «ФІЗИЧНЕ ВИХОВАННЯ В КОНТЕКСТІ СУЧАСНОЇ ОСВІТИ»   On 16 June, the Department of Physical Education and Sports Training of the NAU FLSC organised and held the XVIII International Scientific and Practical Conference "Physical Education in the Context of Modern Education". The Kyiv City Branch of the Committee for Physical Education and Sports (CPES) of the Ministry of Education and Science expresses its sincere gratitude to the Department of Physical Education and Sports Training of the National Aviation University (NAU) for organising and holding a scientific conference at a high organisational level. We would also like to thank the co-organisers of the conference - National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (IAPM), Olympic Academy of Ukraine - for their joint efforts in preparing and holding the conference. The work of the participants contributed to the development of scientific dialogue and raising awareness in the field of physical education, sports and modern education.

Our veterans became European football champions.

From 28.06 to 4.07 in Tampere (Finland), the 5th Open European Masters Football Games in the age category 60+ were held. Our country was represented by a team from Transcarpathia, in which our employee of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute campus, specialist Mentyukov Igor Oleksiyovych, took part, the team won 1st place and was awarded gold medals. We beat the Australian team 6-0. France 3-1, England 2-1 and Great Britain 1-0. In the final, we met England again and won 1-0.
